Hi everyone,
This week we are exploring the great outdoors in one of our favorite parks...Halpatiokee in Stuart. When you enter the park, head to the back near the mountain biking trails, this is where you will find the hiking trails. There are quite a few different trails to explore. Our favorite is winding, wooded, and follows along beside the river. One warning though...don't go to Halpatiokee after it has been raining, because it does have some sections that flood and become impassable. Bo loves to hike at Halpatiokee. He loves all of the smells, checking out the wildlife (birds, tortoises etc.), and seeing all the other dogs and hikers. If you have a few hours, head up to Stuart (Kanner Highway exit) and check out Halpatiokee Park...you will not be disappointed! We hope you enjoy the hike and happy tails!!!
